มาเรียนรู้คำศัพท์ต่างๆ ที่มักต้องเจอในงาน CDM กัน
คำแรก ที่จะนำเสนอ เป็นคำที่จะต้องพบเจอกันอย่างแน่นอนในงาน CDM คำนั้นก็คือ "Clinical Trial"
บางครั้ง อาจจะใช้ว่า "Trial" หรือ "Study"
มีความหมายว่า "การทดลอง การศึกษาวิจัย ทางคลินิคหรือทางการแพทย์" ซึ่งส่วนใหญ่เป็นการวิจัยในคน
และนี่เป็นคำจำกัดความของคำว่า "Clinical Trial" จาก องค์การอาหารและยาประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา (US FDA)
"A clinical trial is a research study in human volunteers to answer specific health questions. Carefully conducted clinical trials are the safest and fastest way to find treatments that work in people, and new ways to improve health."
There are different kinds of clinical trials, including those to study:
+prevention options
+new treatments or new ways to use existing treatments
+new screening and diagnostic techniques
+options for improving the quality of life for people who have serious medical conditions

Clinical Trial/Study
Any investigation in human subjects intended to discover or verify the clinical, pharmacological and/or other pharmacodynamic effects of an investigational product(s), and/or to identify any adverse reactions to an investigational product(s), and/or to study absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion of an investigational product(s) with the object of ascertaining its safety and/or efficacy. The terms clinical trial and clinical study are synonymous
การวิจัยทางคลินิก (Clinical Trial/Study)
หมายถึง การศึกษาวิจัยในมนุษย์โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อค้นคว้าหรือยืนยันผลทางคลินิก ผลทางเภสัชวิทยา และ/หรือ ผลทางเภสัชพลศาสตร์ (pharmacodynamics) อื่นๆ ของผลิตภัณฑ์ที่ใช้ในการวิจัย และ/หรือ เพื่อศึกษาการดูดซึม การกระจายตัว การเปลี่ยนแปลง (metabolism) และการขับถ่ายผลิตภัณฑ์ที่ใช้ในการวิจัยออกจากร่างกาย โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อค้นหาความปลอดภัย และ/หรือประสิทธิผล คำว่า การทดลองทางคลินิค (clinical trail) และ การศึกษาวิจัยทางคลินิก (clinical study) มีความหมายเหมือนกัน
